Waiting For The Sun To Shine

The words I have for her in her time of pain don’t really matter
She’s heard them all before
What she really needs is a hug, a shoulder to cry on, or a listening ear
and I am those things to the core
And while I will put my two cents in from time to time
she doesn’t really mind
You see, she knows where I am coming from
because our lives are intertwined
So hang in there sweetheart
we’ll get through this together
Just take my hand, cry on my shoulder
and we’ll sit here and wait for life’s nicer weather
